Ah - what a way to end the year! Michelle and Dmitri rounded out my great year of weddings for Powers Studios in fine style. I photographed their e-session back in the summer and while we couldn't go outside to play due to the weather, we found some cool spots at the Embassy Suites downtown, and at the West End Theatre for some awesome portraits.

Nikki and Erich know how to have a great time! This fantastic couple were so excited to be celebrating their special day in November. A few days prior to the wedding Nikki called concerned about the heavy rain forecast for the weekend and I calmed her nerves down expressing that often our favorite photographs are taken in the most challenging situations (like rain!). As a Portland based studio we love shooting in the rain and frankly don't have much of a choice considering we live in the NW and it rains very often right?!... :) Along came Saturday and behold the most beautiful day of the week with clear skies and a very content bride! We met at the Nines Hotel for preparations before making our way to the West End Theater. After the beautiful ceremony officiated by the 'Goochie' I was lucky to pull Nikki and Erich away! We slid out the back door and managed to get creative and found a bunch of cool spots to take advantage of downtown! Nikki and Erich - thanks for sharing your special day with us and can't wait to hear all about the honeymoon :)
Erin and Nick married at Old Laurelhurst Church and cut a huge rug at the Acadia Ballroom later that night. A fun and romantic time had by all!
